The Rainbow Report – A Colorful Summer of Love, Pride, and Resilience 🌈

We have to dare to be ourselves, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be.” – May Sarton

Greetings, Safe Schools champions!

What a remarkable journey we’ve experienced together this summer, filled with joy, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to advocacy and justice. This summer, we raised our voices and flags high, taking to the streets with an undeniable vibrancy and power resonating in every corner of our community.

We invite you to relive this journey with us. From the enthusiastic cheers at the Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors, where we weren’t just a wet group of participants but a symbol of authentic pride, to our heartening Love Out Loud Graduation Celebration, a triumphant partnership with The Hardrock Café in Miami that uplifted our graduates and set a bright path ahead. And who could forget our steadfast presence at the We The People National March in Fort Lauderdale, where even the torrential rains couldn’t dampen our fervor and resolve for democracy and justice.

Our summer recap video is a tapestry of these moments, a testament to our youth’s unwavering spirit, their parents’ tireless dedication, and the visionary leadership of our board members and staff. We humbly extend our deepest gratitude to every person who has played a part in making this summer truly unforgettable.

As we look ahead, we’re thrilled to announce our commitment to digital education, empowerment, and representation will expand even further. Brace yourselves for a spectrum of engaging digital programming next month. Look forward to more episodes of “Tiffany Explains It All” delving into Queer pop culture, “The Tea With Eddie,” a unique exploration of politics, history, and recent events through an Unapologetically Queer lens, and our monthly “Rainbow Roundtable,” covering a gamut of topics affecting our students, teachers, and parents in South Florida.

We stand at the precipice of a promising new phase in our journey. Now, more than ever, your support can help us continue to cultivate a safe, empowering, and inclusive environment for our community. Your involvement contributes to our advocacy work today and helps shape a brighter, more equitable tomorrow.

So we invite you, our volunteers, donors, and unyielding supporters, to keep the flame of advocacy burning. Immerse yourself in our summer recap video, and share the joy, the challenges, and the triumphs with your friends and family. But most importantly, stay tuned, engage with our upcoming digital programming, and continue supporting our efforts. Together, we are not just making a difference. We are reshaping the world into a more inclusive place for our vibrant youth.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s keep making history together.
