Our summit offers a unique opportunity to explore and discuss the current and proposed anti-queer laws affecting trans and queer students focusing on the response of state universities to government requests for the personal information of trans students and how students and faculty are resisting.
Learn about the anti-drag legislation coming out of state governments and how these laws clash with the American ethos. Discover the importance of protecting the drag community from a psychological perspective and the mental health effects that anti-trans laws have on children and young adults.
We will also emphasize the importance of political participation by the queer community through voter registration and civic engagement. We will close with a Q&A segment so that we might collectively engage in meaningful conversations to promote inclusion and acceptance for all.
