Diane is a retired teacher who taught health education for many years in NY. She has served as a co-chairperson for GLSEN Hudson Valley where she did workshops, advised Gay-Straight Alliances, and worked in communities to create safe spaces for youth.

In Florida, she is a trainer for Safe Schools South Florida where she educates staff in the Miami-Dade area.

She has been a keynote speaker for LGBTQ conferences in Florida.

Currently, she is a facilitator and trainer for the National Education Association and Welcoming Schools and does workshops throughout the country.

She is the author and teacher of Reaching Out to our Gay and Transgender Students and teaches that and other classes online and face to face.
